You need to have certain personal interests and skills to be able to begin a Career as a Security Guard. Some of these include;
- You need to be fairly mature and have good judgement skills this is because if there was a situation where you were under a lot of pressure and needed to make a decision you would need to be able to fully trust your judgement.
- You would have to be confident because you may need to approach people that you believe could cause a possible problem, also in the way you would have to be comfortable in aproaching an intruder in the right manner.
- You'd have to be able to write short reports on any incidents that occur whilst you are on guard.
- You would need to be fairly confident working with various pieces of technology such as CCTV cameras and monitoring stations.
